w/Paul Cheevers .:. This practice is first and last a sitting meditation practice. This half day consists of seated guided meditation, mindful movement including standing, walking and lying, followed by a seated meditation; about half is lightly guided meditation and half is guided yoga postures. Breath awareness accompanies throughout this practice. Recommended for individuals interested in integrating a mindful sitting practice with slow and simple mindful yoga postures. Plenty of chairs, cushions and benches are available for sitting. Some yoga mats are available at the Center, you are also welcome to bring your own mat .
The Therevada Buddhist practices of Insight Meditation accompanied by the teachings taught by the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram of India are at the roots of this practice.
