w/Paul Cheevers .:. Sirs, gentlemen, guys, dudes, boys, bruh and countrymen. What are the challenges we have learning and maintaining a meditation practice in the world of today? Guys grow up with examples and instructions that are very far from the practice of mindful meditation. Recognizing relatively unique assumptions and developing a clear way to practice and find easeful awareness on a sustained basis is difficult if not impossible for most to do on their own.
This will be the first offering of Mens Meditation Workshop at SSIMC. The intent of this workshop is to provides an environment for guys in search of a responsive and concentrated place to practice. Western culture and consequently western meditation offerings tend not to be made up of other men practicing regularly unless your a monk! Can this be helped?
Get to know the vast place beyond figuring things out about meditation and get down to actually practicing meditation. Great for beginner sirs to meditation and those dudes who have never practiced with others in an environment geared for serious mindfulness meditation practice.
This workshop format will included guidance, exercises, a project and instructions all about practicing, testing and keeping on with the path to ease and understanding. Equip yourself with the tools necessary for navigating the pitfalls and challenges of truly practicing on one’s own and with all.
We will be working with intention, language, actionable practices and skill development in support of men practicing meditation. Physical realities, confusing terms regarding pain and suffering, mastery and being woke will be explored. Bring a buddy and help him discover truths unique and common. Preregistration strongly suggested to help gauge related building materials.
